Something f**ky going on with the LSU Academic Calendar/Course Offerings

So I’m trying to plan a vacation between summer/fall 21 and see that the summer sessions aren’t running concurrently anymore. Usually start around 6/6, end 7/20ish. They’re now scheduled to run back to back starting the week after spring finals end running all the way up to what I guess is gonna be the week before fall starts. I get it, split the campus in half. No biggie, but there’s no course offerings listed
But then I looked into spring 21. There are zero course offerings listed and scheduling priority is no where to be found. Hell, there’s not even a drop down tab for spring 21. The only thing they have is “1st and 2nd spring modules 2021” and that’s for the online program.
Wonder what kinda bullshite they planning now?

UF here is likely cancelling Spring Break and starting spring a week late. They indicate to allow more prep time if there is a surge in winter and also discourage travel on spring break (2021).
Not sure if there is some of that thinking going on at LSU.

The academic cal still has it starting 1/11. It’s the courses and registration info that’s missing lol. This about the time of year where you start scheduling for spring. It’s a lil early but you’re usually starting to look at what’s out there and getting your shite together

they are still going under the assumption that we will still be in covid lock down. they are fully invested in the fake BS expecting another outbreak of covid this winter

Give it some time. They went through hell trying to get the corse offering right for the fall. Let the try and get the spring and summer right

That what I was fearing. But they should still have the same schedule up. It would just be online vs in-person I’d shot went south. Unless they’re coming up with some new BS. I hope next semester is 100% online. I think it’s all stupid but it works better for me

Correct. I want one. Mrs Schmelly likes the beach while I play 36. Student/no student, anyone can enjoy that. You should try it. Then maybe you’d be less concerned about wtf another grown arse man is doing

Course offerings didn’t change. Only thing that changed is whether you went to class on a computer or on campus

They changed the summer semester to match the timing of the online courses. This will allow LSU students to hybridize their education by taking summer classes online.
The Provost has been quoted saying enrollment for Summer courses was cratering prior to COVID and they wanted to redesign the format
LSU Spring ‘21 is waiting to set their course offerings until they know if/how COVID will impact the semester. They are hoping it’s a “back to normal” semester

Do they normally have what classes will be available in the Summer.. this early? Maybe so, but it seems like I remember it not being available until at least late in the fall.
