They don't have to deal with illegals in the same way that places like TX and AZ do. They trickle in on their own accord in places like NYC and Chicago and figure out their living situations on their own. Places like McAllen just have them show up by the thousands and they have to deal with it. There are only so many people you can handle no matter how many ICE facilities they build. The idea that these places in TX and AZ should bear the brunt of the problem while these other municipalities get to sit back and enjoy their lip service with no share of the actual burden is absurd.

This is an American problem, not just a problem for the southern states.

Those in NYC, Chicago, Martha’s Vineyard, Seattle, Portland, etc., should do their level best to accept every immigrant sent their way and should ask for every single one these states are willing to send.

That goes even more strongly for any city that declares itself a sanctuary city.

You cannot support the current immigration policy while becoming angry when immigrants arrive on your doorstep.

I’m not sure why progressives., like cahoots, have such an issue with this.

CA has far less border than AZ and TX and does not get the amount of illegals that other states.

The point is that states like CA, NY, VA, IL, etc. receive these immigrants in an entirely different way than the others do simply by their geographic location. They have the luxury of saying that they support illegals because they deal with a trickle, not a cascade. They don't see this as a problem because they're not inconvenienced yet they chastise everyone that is as nazis. The moment they are inconvenienced, it's all of a sudden a disaster of biblical proportions and they call in the feds to bring their little fetishized pets to places like Des Moines, IA, or Bowling Green, KY, or Ocala, FL. You know places these deep blue folks despise except when it's to relieve them of the burden they claim to embrace.

They have a problem with it because it forces them to actually put their money where their mouth is and we all know they hate actually doing anything beyond putting a sign in their yard, tweeting, and going to a rally for a cause that no one within 100 miles disagrees with. In other words, they act like spoiled, idealistic children.
