The ironic thing is Martha's Vineyard could have really won some social justice kudos here and totally fricked it up.
This is the reality of progressivism. All the sacrifice needs to be put on the middle class, not the wealthy vanguard nor the poor.
Its strange how my little town on the frontier can accommodate much more and has in the past, yet these people are terrified.

I think it’s best capsulated when SNL went out and basically threatened the jury of the Derek Chauvin trial saying that if he was let off that rioting and burning down businesses should happen because it’s just property and they have insurance. Easy for them to say that from their Manhattan high rises. Most despicable skit in SNL history and if Chauvin had been let off and my business or home was burnt to the ground, I would have sued the shite out of NBC for that skit.

It also comes on the heels of Laiza Cimeno’s successful return to Martha’s Vineyard after a visa issue in Brazil, and a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that went in favor of Vineyard immigrant Wescley Pereira.
The Island relies heavily on foreign workers to meet the demands at hotels and restaurants during the busy tourist season. In recent years, limits of H-2B visas and J-1 visas have hamstrung Island businesses, which struggle to hire enough help on-Island.
Everything they've said is a lie. Its one huge act to self elevate. They plead to stop limiting immigration they cry when brown people show up.

Also am I one of the few until the past few years who didn’t realize that Martha’s Vinyard wasn’t some resort property founded my Martha Steward? It seems like something she’d do and have the money for to be fair.

All that town had to do was accept them for a few weeks, they would have won the PR war.

Have we gotten any updates on this? I suspect that there will immaculate yards, roads with no pot holes, and some bomb arse empanadas sold from a food truck
