It's likely zero CFB players die of COVID.
It's nearly a certainty during a season at least one either...
1) Dies of heat exhaustion/heart issue in a workout

2) Gets paralyzed in a game or practice.

Bingo. There are plenty of health reasons people should not be playing football. COVID 19 is NOT one of them.

Look, I just want this pandemic to be over and for us to get back to normal. We are not going to do that by lying constantly about it. Hospitals are beginning to be overrun, here's what's happening in Lafayette right now:

Here's a map that shows current hospitalization capacity. It just takes some simple math to understand that we will run into capacity issues if you dickwads can't just start putting a mask on before you go into public/crowded places.

So lafayette has 932 beds available at the time of this post with 224 of them being ICU beds and only 293 ventilators available. That represents only .2% of their population. Right now covid is infecting somewhere between 10-20% of the area, we'll use the low number.
10% of that metro area is about 5k people. Covid still has around a 7% fatality rate, but let's go lower to 5%. That represents 250 people that will have taken ICU beds. So what's our available beds left? -26 for ICU beds, 43 ventilators remaining, and 682 general beds left.
But what have we not talked about? We haven't talked about literally everything else that could put someone in a hospital and we haven't talked about people who will need a bed but will survive.
It simply is not a stretch to think hospitals will reach capacity.
Regardless, do you purposefully try and get/spread the flu? Why do you do the same with covid? Put your stupid political tribe bs aside and do the sane thing. Let's get out of this fast, not slow.
