Bet they haven’t reached out to their elected officials, either. Everyone seems to want to engage in silly performative bullshite instead of anything that can actually accomplish anything.

I know I get shite on here when I cite to “both sides”, but this is actually I’ve been going after my friends on the left on for the last few months. They all want to gnash their teeth over the Trump topic du jour, doom scrolling the day away. So I ask: have you reached out to your congressman? Better yet, do you have the faintest idea who your metro council member is? Because they have vastly more of an impact on your daily life than Trump does. Until you spend as much or more time engaging with them as you do doomscrolling, I’m not interested.

Same thing here. Unhappy about immigration? Cool, fine. Spend your time doing something constructive about it, and whether I agree with it or not, I can respect it. On the other hand, spend your time doing stupid childish shite and I’ll roll my eyes and point out that you’re doing stupid childish shite.
