October is on average the driest month.
This is coming on top of an exceptionally dry Summer.

SInce June 28th I've only gotten a single rainstorm of over 1/2" rainfall. One rainfall of significance since June 28th. That is F'ed up in south louisiana. Last I saw we are 22" of rain behind normal...

We will have a cold and wet Jan-March that will all but alleviate most of the drought.

All I know is that you people let that shite get loose. You just couldn't keep it hemmed up. Now, I'm damn near in an Extreme Drought with less than 1/4" of rain in the past 6+ weeks. Once y'all let it into MS, it ran all the way to AL.

We have a chance for some rain next week. I hope it pans out.

The pattern is about to shift. It’s almost crazy cold front season. About once every 6-10 days we get one passing with rain.
But I am concerned about the pattern going back to hot and dry next summer

Global warming makes droughts more frequent, longer, and worse..this has been predicted for decades now.
