Agree.

I'm not saying it won't work well, but in my long life, I've never run across anything electric that was as powerful as the same tool run by a battery.
If you're grass is anything better than sketchy weeds, I'd reconsider.
What's your perceived benefit of an electric mower?

That thing run on 220? I'd hate to run over the cord.

One thing we don't ever buy are electric mowers and weed eaters. They are pieces of shite.
This is just stupid. My electric weed eater is very good. I've had it for three years and haven't had one problem with it. Batteries have held up really well. The battery technology has exploded in the last few years

I loved my Ryobi battery weed eater. Light, quiet, plenty strong enough. But it eats line. I use 1.5 spools at one time. Crazy for an average suburban lawn.

This one has a swivel connector. His didn't. They had a plastic handle (maybe to insulate)? I know there was a voltage drop issue when I'd get the second long extension cord online.
The handle flips over to instantly be able to push the mower in the opposite direction.
It was heavy AF.

Don't do it. My wife bought one for her house and it dies extremely fast and is weak if your grass gets too tall.

Hmm......got me thinking. Have separate house from the wife. Just might drop the divorce rate.

And she cuts the grass. Winning.
We both owned housed before getting married and now her brother lives in it.

I've had battery powered lawn equipment. The main draw back is that they lack some power compared to gas equipment

When new, the battery should be strong enough for most typical suburban lawns. Just don't let the grass get too thick. But those batteries fade.

Sounds like you have a good bit of overhead to this one, but you will have to stay on the ball and keep the grass low, and I mean LOW. If you slip one weekend and let the grass grow a measly extra 3 inches, I guarantee that will cut your battery life by at least a third.
One thing I wonder about these battery powered mowers: since it requires more torque to start the blade spinning than to keep it spinning, I wonder if the battery life quoted is with the blade spinning at a certain speed for the duration of the life? Probably so. I wonder how much stopping and starting cuts into that.

Why the hell would they advertise how many "miles" this thing will cut? Who measures how much grass they cut in "miles".
Red flag. Would avoid.

Why don't your borrow your buddy's and see how well it works.

Even if it is, he is still more than 2x less than the max it can run.
I say he's safe.
