For me, the only possible usage case is high heat cooking like fajitas, fish or bacon, and only because I don't want to smell/smoke up the house.

Hell yea. I love mine. DGAF what he thinks. We cook on it at least 3 days a week.... No matter how hot
ETA. That first pictre made me laugh at my pool area. That was right after we moved in and I installed the kitchen. Had not done any planting yet.
Same area, now.

How do you keep ants away from it?

Wife pushed me into buying a Blackstone griddle. Does a great job with pancakes and bacon. Otherwise it's useless. Won't do steaks, ribs, chicken, sausage, stuffed jalapeños, or any thing useful

I really do question how some of you make it through life

I got one of these in March, best of both worlds...
smoked Boston Butts and briskets along with steaks, chicken and burgers..The griddle side is good for fried rice and smash burgers as well...
It was about $500 cheaper than a Blackstone griddle...

I enjoy cooking outside. I have a large screened in outdoor cooking area and cook a lot of different ways out there. although I do have a blackstone I find myself using my 18” castiron skillet a lot more. Basically the same thing and easier to clean

I’m more amazed about how so many people in here can’t handle hot weather while doing a little cooking

Steaks are better on the blackstone.
I bet you eat frozen tv dinners and brag about that also

Cooking for larger groups is much easier on a flat top
Breakfast scrambles
Fried rice
Killer steaks you can sear

that's a griddle for children. It's way to small
You've already exposed yourself with the steaks on a griddle comment

The average poster here is 5’9” and weighs 260lb (just needs to lose 20 lbs though). They carry some insulation.

I get not wanting to stand over a hot grill in August in the middle of the day, but 9 out of 12 months the weather is awesome for cooking outside and then even in the hot months, if you cook in the morning or evenings on a covered porch/patio with a fan it isn't bad
