I somehow doubt that's something someone can easily explain to you here. But I'm feeling generous, so here

You're an a-hole. I lost my mom a little over a year ago. Go frick yourself. Better yet, you tell me where to meet you and you can tell me that in person. Seriously, frick yourself.

power tools are generally specific to the task that you want to perform.

get yourself a drill and a jigsaw and you have 80% of the things that you will want to do covered...no point in buying a whole bunch of shite that you will never use.

Unless you use them everyday brushless is overkill to me. You can get the old stand by 18v's for cheap nowadays.

What will you be using them for? You can get a ryobi kit for about $150 with a drill, impact and sawsall that is surprisingly durable if you aren't working it all day every day. I have a Milwaukee kit that I love that has a smaller drill and sawsall that I paid $99 for. The new Dewalt 20v lithium tools are hard to beat but expensive.
