The women only showing was the movie theater's idea.

Wonder Woman ran in the late 70s. So you likely have at least two good generations of women who haven't been truly exposed to WW as the character is being made/produced on screen but she's a familiar feminine icon despite that. The population is roughly half women. That's a large pool of new viewers/consumers that they can dip into outside of your typical comic book crowd. Do you really think entertainment isn't groomed to be marked to a certain section of people?
Its not retarded at all. And it'll be like one showing a day out of a ton for it. I think everyone will survive.

if your sense of self is so fragile that you're going to avoid a movie because one fairly small chain of theaters is going to have 1 or 2 women-only screenings like a week after it opens then you have serious mental problems. But then again I already knew that about you. Go cry some more snowflake.
