A couple of decades ago, maybe. Now? Honestly, I'm not even sure what Republicans are pretending to be at this point, beyond politically schizophrenic

Ron Paul is an idiot who lives in a political fantasyland. Congrats on living in delusion since at least 20210
Good Lord. I do t know who is more whacked out. The Marxists or the Libertarians

Being diametrically opposed to the core values of your workplace might get you fired? That's the analogy you want to go with here? Did they miss the widely known core tents of Christianity when they sought to work at a Christian school?
If they were teaching religion, sure. If they're teaching some random subject and don't discuss their sexual orientation with their students, but get fired because of it anyway? Yes, I think that would be an apt analogy.
The rest is basically a "well maybe they aren't actually being persecuted against, but people might say mean things about them!" Sure, that might happen. Might also happen if you say you're an Atlanta Falcons fan. People say shite. It's what they do.
But before we move on, will you at least acknowledge that whoever the frick you thought I was from another thread wasn't, in fact, me?

Well, at least you've pulled your head out of your arse long enough to insult me for my actual political beliefs instead of the nonsense fiction you crafted for the purpose of setting up a strawman

Again, the majority of this country is Christian. The overwhelming majority of people who hold positions of power in government in this country are Christian. I know the Bible lays out a really sexy persecution fantasy, but the United States just isn't a great spot for it. It's a LARP at best here
Tell that to the LGBT community and their media attack dogs.
They get off on persecuting and destroying anyone who disagrees publicly.

Oh no, they are afraid of gay people (the literal definition of homophobia)!

I can't explain it better than that

Are you under the impression that Christians haven't been doing the exact same thing in their spheres of power since time immemorial? We could go old school with gay people being utterly black balled or people like Alan Turing being chemically castrated, but that would pigeon hole this regarding sexuality too much.
Remember when the Dixie Chicks used to have a career before they said they were embarrassed for being from the same state as W? Kaep before he started kneeling?
People screaming and voting with their dollars isn't fricking new

No worries. Maybe if you could, I might understand what the frick you were talking about
Because yeah, I have a hard time seeing the link between OP crying about an as-of-yet-to-materialize uproar by the Twitterati and a fictional symbol of resistance against government oppression

Shifting goal posts I see. You went from THE CHRISTIANS CONTROL EVERYTHING RAWR! To: some Christians did it so that makes it okay?
Okidoki.

What's my cause? Beyond saying that I think OP has a silly, fictional persecution complex while belonging to the single largest demographic in the entire country

You really aren’t very good at this. The laughing emojis are not as powerful as you think they are. They are even worse than your actual positions.

I would have just said "No, I'm not wearing it."
No need to hide behind religion.
It should’ve been enough to simply decline wearing it.
It reads like the press wanted the explanation.
Whether or not their decision and subsequent explanation causes them or the Rays’ organization problems remains to be seen.
