Some interesting history for Vermillion Parish

The site listed below has many interseting history items for Vermillion Parish starting around 1879. There are many articles including one about the great Gueydan liquor raid of 1929 and a murder in 1893. This site does not copy well using the link so I just copied it here. Hope you enjoy it.

Fun Fact

Vermillion Parish is the only* Parish with a color for its name.

*Red River Parish doesn’t qualify in my book.
