In admitting that solar activity during sunspot-cycle 25 could be the weakest in 200 years, NASA was effectively forecasting a return to Dalton Minimum (1790-1830) conditions. But the release gives no mention of the ferocious cold, no mention of the disastrous crop losses, no mention of the ensuing starvation and famine, no mention of the wars over food, no mention of the powerful earthquakes, no mention of the catastrophic volcanic eruptions during the Dalton Minimum.

It's admittedly a bit tinfoil hat, but still.

Is this the fault of Al Gore? It sounds like something he'd do.

I don't always look for NASA solar cycle news, but when I do, it's from IceAgeNow.info.

Perhaps the most responsible people on the planet are those causing global warming. We are preparing the world for this.

Luckily man has warmed the Earth enough to starve off the pending ice age.

We’ve got a minor Ice-Age starting this winter with the solar minimum. Should come out of it by 2032.

Summers will still have temperature spikes but winters will be brutal the further you get above the Mason-Dixon Line. Most crops north of that will fail.

Be sure you’ve got good cold weather gear.

Is there some kind of link between volcanic activity and solar cycles?

I went down a wiki wormhole and apparently, yes, there is. But they don’t know why.
