So were they not allowed to vote when GWB wanted to reform
I’m saying there’s hypocrisy with Gen X and millennials acting poor pitiful me, boomers still control us when at that time, boomers were of the age many of us are now.

I'm good with that.
They're gonna tax TF out of anything I get anyway.

Kill it entirely. If the older generations didn’t plan well enough to survive without that Ponzi scheme, too bad.
As long as they pay me the NPV of my contributions for the past 35 years. I don't necessarily need it to retire but screw letting these frickers off the hook for running a legalized Ponzi scheme!
Bush tried to present a very reasonable solution in 2008 and they refused to even have a discussion on how to fix it.

It is time to recognize that and cut our losses for the benefit of our children.

Nobody demands their money back in the hypothetical scenario of ending Food Stamps or Section 8
They celebrate that policy for its own value

Start gradually raising the age to collect benefits up to 67 years old should be Step #1. But even that will likely never happen.
Why so they can pocket the 100's of thousands of dollars they took from us? frick that let us opt in now so we can at least recuperate some of our savings.

I would drop 50 years of paid SS taxes for the sake of my daughter’s future.

What?
Who do you think is pocketing this money, exactly?

Very young by today’s standards, just kinda young historically

He thinks folks should lose it the benefit, he should start with the face in the mirror.

The first boomers were eligible to vote in 1964.
Blaming us for by then a 30yr old welfare program is easy, but not exactly the truth.
I'm sure, given the option, we would've voted that shite out, or at least, modified it greatly.

Scammed implies I was a willing participant. I had to participate at the threat of going to jail otherwise.
I don't know that we were lied to either because we've been told our entire lives this would likely be the case while our elected leaders stood by and did nothing. Still doesn't make it right if it comes to fruition.
Honestly, I don't believe this prediction will come to fruition. They will keep raising the cap until the masses see it as no longer affecting them and it will be sold as the rich are now paying their fair-share when they remove the cap altogether.
