In all areas, the cases are plummeting to what they were mid Jan. That is a fact.
Yes cases are plummeting. the 7 day average is currently 1,053. it was 2995 Jan. 8. That is a positive trend, like reducing bat hits to your head by 66%. However, shite was really bad in the past, and despite the positive trends, we're still worse off than we were at the best of the pandemic. In may the 7 day average was 293.
it's relatively better, but it's still worse than it has been in absolute numbers. if the things we're doing are improving the trend, that is a signal to keep doing them, not stop doing them.

literally no one has changed their behavior from when cases were rising to now
if you were taking it seriously, you are still taking it seriously
if you were not taking it seriously, you are still not taking it seriously
the cases are going up and down despite the government restrictions

The bad thing about this is that I fully believe there is a growing share of the population that will never go out maskless again.
100%
I saw a tweet the other day, someone put “I have nightmares of waking up in a crowded place without a mask on”
People have legit been brainwashed by media. I don’t understand how this happens

Or, here's a thought, it's a virus that is going to run it's course and wearing a tee shirt sleeve over your face isn't going to stop it.
None of this shite is going to help, at this point just be glad that it's moving on.

I'm always amazed at how people don't realize how stupid the majority of the population is.

I meant to say hospitalizations not cases. The LDH dashboard lets you review per region and all regions have had significant reductions the last few weeks.

i can tell you how it happened with me. it wasn't media brainwashing me. i saw people around me die, like i have never seen before. i don't want to die, so i do what i can to avoid dying. some of the things i do are: stay away from people mostly, wear a mask, wash my hands. no one thing is the "cure" but common sense says each may help.

So you're gonna do for the rest of your life then? Because if it's not Covid, it'll be something else.

People lose relatives all the time to heart disease and kidney failure.
