Hillar Moore is a douche that needs to be voted out of office. He’s part of the reason so many criminals are out on the streets and higher price people pay for DUIs. It’s all a money grab.

Hillar Moore's hands are tied here. I had an experience in which a relative was a victim of a (nonviolent) crime, but when it was clear that the case would go to Trudi White's "court" Hillar's assistant DAs were left with little choice but to plead out the case and get what they could out of it. Everyone knows that White is an incompetent judge and a detriment to the community who will let everyone walk free. If I were DA, I would not have a clue about how to handle having a judge who has as much contempt for the law as Trudi White has.

The sudden deluge of issue-specific posts seems very suspect.

That’s part of the problem right there. He could easily pursue it and go to a jury. I don’t want to hear that a judge has all this power to prevent criminals from being prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. That’s pussy shite that allows him to stay in his position by not fully prosecuting criminals. Hence why I said he’s part of the reason for all the crime in the city.
Do your job as DA and go after criminals for all their crimes. That guy has blood on his hands. He also screwed up the high profile trial involving lil boosie. Keep electing shitty officials and you end up with a shitty parish and city.

Are you saying the prosecution has final say in the sentencing?

Your post was about bonds being lowered. Trial has nothing to do with that. There are statutory time limits on when trials must begin.

Not if the defendant opts for a bench trial.

Well he doesn’t have final say, so...

He doesn't. All the DA does is prosecute the case.

Not his job.

Is he somewhat not responsible ?
No.

Judge White needs to be run out on a razor rail...
She'll continue to get re-elected as long as we have judicial sub-districts that ensure the minority (black) candidate wins.

He is trying to plead his case the best way he can that will get it to stick.
Unfortunately, the jails are only so large along with honor code gov that lets thugs out early, you have to deal with liberal judges, and there is a lot of thugs living in Baton Rouge. This makes it hard to win a case.

My initial post asked about when the trials were scheduled. If a guy is out on bail he should have a trial set, right?

I abstain from discussing Mr Moore on this website.

Hillar has no say on judge's decision. He might make a request or give an opinion but that's all. She can and has done as she pleases.
This. Trudy White unabashedly campaigned for re-election on the platform of getting thugs out of jail ASAP and imposing ridiculously light sentences on criminals who end up in her courtroom. I'm sure Hillar Moore knows what to expect every time one of BR's "finest" draws Trudy White as his/her judge. There's just not much he can do. She is an embarrassment to the judicial system.

what the F'ing F?
I'm just dumbfounded by the glut of stupidity you managed to display in one sentence.
However, yes is "somewhat not responsible". You unintentionally got something right here.
