Even less surprising then. Thought he was late 80s and not 93.

Wow, sorry to hear that.

Met Mr Tommy years ago at a charity event in L.A.

He was a very down to earth person to meet.
Oh, he had some funny stories.

I was going to ask you if you were on that '76 Istrouma football team that lost to Covington in the State Championship game, but after briefly perusing your post history to "age" you as it were, I think respectfully, that was a little after your time, and with the "Apple" Sanders reference of course that would be BRHS.

But while I'm at it, a little trivia: What other player on Sander's LSU team was nicknamed after a fruit?

Damn, had a good run. This was my first autograph, my great uncle took me to the game and knew someone on the staff:

I had him as "first to go" in 2021. A couple other sports figures went sooner, like Paul Westphal for example, but I was close.

I had David Stern as "first to go" in 2020. He was dead by lunchtime on New Year's Day.

I wish I could do this well picking football games

Sad. One of the most entertaining figures in modern baseball. His biography from about ten years ago was a pretty interesting read. RIP

Very good.

Won an ABA Championship with the Indiana Pacers and had the distinction of playing with both Pete and playground legend Roger Brown, considered the greatest player never to play in the NBA.

Would love to ask him if he was starting a team, who would he pick first between the two.
