By "corrected" you mean they perform surgery on babies. Is it ok for people to make that decision for a child, but not ok for that child to grow up and make the decision for themselves?

Yeah that sounds about right. And for every baby with obviously ambiguous external organs, there are likely several/many more with more subtle abnormalities that may manifest later, whether physically or mentally or both. The percentage of people who fall outside of the normal male/female in one way or another could easily be in the ballpark of 1%. That's not counting those who may be pretending as part of some "fad".
