So UNO cancelled all classes due to a student’s threats

Is this really how we’re going to react to threats going forward? This student lived in a dorm; does he even own a weapon? And they’re going to shut down the entire campus for the day, maybe longer? Oh, and Ben Franklin High too.

People act like this is something new. Students were phoning in bomb threats going back at least to the 1980s to get out of school.

The Jr High my kid goes to had a kid make a threat. Cops arrested the kid and took him to what ever the detention facilities are for kids. The next day the kids at school were excused to be absent. The next day. WTF. The bad kid was arrested and no longer a threat.
