We could cripple an entire generation by going to 100% cursive writing and stick shift vehicles

I wonder if she could formulate proper sentence structure.

I don't remember how to write in cursive. I print everything. Too many years spent on a computer. Even my signature is just my first initial and a line basically

Signatures will be obsolete in 10 years.

I had to learn it from a young age. Do they know that you have to sign for things with cursive words?

Same here, but I sign my name about 20 times a day at work so the line gets longer by the end of the day

I had a few professors that said if they saw cursive on an exam, they'd automatically fail whoever it belonged to

Cursive never really made sense. Glad it’s faded.

There’s nothing wrong with cursive writing, it’s just that most people can’t write worth a shite therefore most of the time it’s illegible.

Mine all were taught cursive a little at school, but there wasn't much time spent in the classroom learning it. A lot of it was sent home as homework practice and not really graded. None of my kids use it very much but they can probably read it.

FWIW, Louisiana passed a law a few years ago requiring schools to teach cursive.

I never learned how to read cursive. Lived in one State where they taught it in third grade and moved to a State where they taught it in second, so I just skipped it.

Believe it or not, it hasn't had any impact whatsoever on my education or career.
