My wife and I are adults. So, we just buy the stuff we need and want when we want or need it. It is also nice because we don't waste money buying each other stupid crap that just waste space in our house. The holidays for us are about our kids and others. We have enough confidence in ourselves and each other that we don't need to pretend like holidays make or break anything in our relationship.
It's pretty awesome. Try it; the being an adult part.

You shouldn't complain
You don't have to think about it and you know she will like her gift

Only a fricking woman would complain about this.

You just nailed it. But this won't go over too well here. Too many pussies who know their wives don't respect them.

What do you and your husband do for Valentine's Day?

Why not just go buy your own gift then?
That would be fine by me.

And she can buy her own gift?
Yeh, that won't fly.

Sucks for you.
My wife and I don't do Valentines Day and we like it that way.
