I’ll not pretend Trump didn’t spend large amounts of money as well, but you can’t say the quality of life was the same while comparing administrations. Even Dems know Biden is a dud. Obama once said,” don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to F—k anything up!”

Well, that's definitely a POV. Reality is Trump advocated for more spending and additional stimulus. Mitch McConnell was the road block to his agenda.

Trump has bloody hands, so did our democrat led congress, they all did. Anyone that was pro shutdowns did. It’s not Monday morning quarterback either, people screamed from the rooftops not to have shutdowns, they weren’t listened to. When it comes to it, due to shutdowns, there was an insane amount of money spent from government. Plus just all the restrictions that hurt much of the workforce

The problem is confusing Capitalism with free markets.

Local and regional ownership is better long term for the economy and the taxpaying citizens (Ford and Walton understood long term US employment).

Mail room to CEO better than MBA grad to CEO

Since 1980 we have moved to corporate monarchies where monopolies and oligarchies are rewarded and smaller / more local are being gobbled up.

Covid was a nuclear bomb. I don't even waste time comparing the before/after.

What is the solution to this? People need food and gas and electricity so its not like we can boycott.
But you can. Electricity you could, but I'll allow that one as that's a bit tougher.

But you can use less gas. Bigger picture, if gas prices were too high, more people will buy EVs.

Food, buy alternatives.

As long as we keep paying the high prices, it makes it hard to argue we're being wronged and what they're doing to us is soooo terrible. "We" are pretty happily still paying those prices.

I’ve seen you post too many times, I know it wouldn’t do any good. That entire post was sad. And I 100% know for a fact you know why

The gas too high, buy EV is kinda funny. Those saving may not add up. I get what you're saying though.

Anyone with a functioning brain at the time knew we were unleashing something terrible, an unknown amount of economic pain, by shutting the economy down like that.

The point is, if regular people like you and me looked on it, at the time, in horror, how could all the smartest people in the world have thought it was the right idea?
It seems unbelievable to me that they could have been ignorant as to what was going to happen, so I have to believe it was intentional.

Why?

Are you going to sit here and honestly say more people would NOT buy EVs if gas prices were to get higher and higher?

If it's a daily commuter, which would be for the vast majority of EV buyers, you save a shite ton over paying for gas.

That’s a very convenient way to excuse Biden’s buffoonery

if you don't want to debate facts, that's fine.

You can continue to bring nothing to this discussion with your inability to refute anything I've said, but to just be pissy about it. Again, which is what is actually happening, just like my post on what is and will actually happen that you can't tell me why it's wrong.

That would make more sense if the WHOLE world didn't shut down. Good luck getting the world to collude.

This is also a very convenient way to excuse Trump's buffoonery.

Both Presidents have a hand in the current inflation situation.

If these raised prices weren't increasing their bottom line, they wouldn't be doing it.

Not necessarily. Sometimes prices are raised just to keep the status quo. The added increase of raw materials/labor (push for $15 minimum wage) causes overall costs to be more expensive.

All these morons pushing for higher minimum wages really thought prices wouldn't increase.
