Or are we going to ignore the cure and keep pretending it's the end of the world so we can crash this nation?
Per Fox, the guy they interviewed said it can be used to treat the elderly and those with comprised immune systems to prevent them from getting it. Not really a cure per say more like a prevention.

Takes a high dose over a few years to get this side effect. It’s not going to happen in a week or even a month.

Side effects:
1. Visual issues such a permanent color blindness or blindness.
2. Hair loss
3. Weight gain.
I doubt any of these side effects are going to show up in any significant effect within 6-7 days.

Aralen is the generic 500mg over the counter sold that I could possibly walk up to Walgreens and get today.
I still think you need a Rx for Azithromycin though.

How does this topic fall to page 2? This should be pinned.

This has got my attention. I’m 52 and I have cancer, I take chemo pills daily so I don’t have an immune system. I have had to practice self quarantine while on this medicine so I’m kinda used to the safety measures that I have to take. My girlfriend/caretaker does the same, but you can do everything right and still get sick somehow because you can always make mistakes. I hope this turns out to be something that helps people like myself and everyone else in the world.

That’s just plaqanel. My wife used to take it years ago for arthritis

It took almost 2 months to get the COVID-19 thread stickied.... I doubt this one will get pinned.

Stickied, pinned, bumped... whatever. Point is that this is a pretty important topic and one of the few that is optimistic. If it stays up top, it gets more attention and stays informative. These posts, particularly the ones from working medical folks, are helpful for a number of reasons.

So for a non-medical expert like myself, can someone explain for me why we aren’t using this already and getting back to normal?
Why wouldn’t the FDA be able to approve this tomorrow?
Because the FDA's process of approving new drugs takes months. A priority review takes 6 months.
Maybe we might see an expedited process if this disease had a 50% fatality rate. That's not the case though.

Its already an approved drug in the US. Doctors can prescribe as seen fit.

Ok I just ordered my OT COVID-19 cure kit. Of course by the time it gets here we will be over this shite or dead. My daughter finally turned the curve and went for a jog this morning so I assume she is over it, even though her test results will not be in until next week. My son is better too. Meanwhile, my wife crashed today.

OP,
Can you change your heading to something like info on possible COVID cure info.
I couldn’t get in from Canada, it’s that impossible? Also I assume you take this for what 7-10 days?
I don’t think we are going to be much help in this as it’s going to be too late. I may just pass it along to next victims
