So my buddy brought home some buddies from City Bar

To make a long story short, I gave my buddy the engagement ring to hold until I was to propose and in the meantime, he invited some buddies over to his house after a night out at City Bar.
Well as you could imagine these were some shady buddies and they went into his home office where he was hiding the ring and his buddies stole the ring. He knows who it was but doesn't know where to find them.
What should I do with my buddy?
