Hey man, sorry for being a jackass. Everything regarding my former job was true, but if I was an arse to you personally that's my bad. You're good people.

At my old job upper management tried to ruin my career by hiring a top level exec from another company I had a relationship with a long time ago. Late at work one night she came on to me even tho she knew I was married and tried to slander me as the aggressor. Luckily my cell phone dialed a friend during the confrontation who had the whole encounter saved on his answering machine and it exonerated me and collaborated my story.

Seriously? How did it accidentally call your friend? Thats crazy IF true.

I'm hoping to live off everyone's tax dollars and eventually be involved in a viral video that makes me millions despite me being the degenerate who exploited the system.

But really, I am in the final stages of interviewing with a few jobs and have some savings.

To my knowledge, when you quit a job you can't do that. But I've never quit a job so I don't really know, nor do I plan on doing that.

If you're bailing before securing a new position, I'd advise against. Unless you have some pretty badass credentials, this really hurts your ability to leverage a lucrative next offer.

No offense intended; just my two cents.

If I said I had badass creditials, I would just get a bunch of crap here. I took a risk, no question.

But I left a situation that was extremely toxic and frankly morally abhorrent.

Edit: no offense taken. Considering all the insults thrown my way in this thread taken, you may be one of the most considerate people on the OT.

How much money? I'm unemployed now so I'd be happy to take it.

I'm honestly not. But it's not a large company, as you claim. Small enough that it's possible for you OT sleuths to maybe figure out who I am, so no thanks.

Contradict yourself much?

Fair enough. Time to bow out I guess. I just thought I should follow up to clarify that I did follow through with leaving my position. I honestly believed based on this boards history with hating inconclusive threads that I was at least giving a sense of completion to the story. My bad.

Edit: and honestly it's the craziest professional situation I've ever been in, so I thought it might be an interesting story. But it would be nice to not have the entire board know who I am because I've seen how quickly they tear people apart here.
