there are plenty of uninhabited barrier islands we are trying to save also,...maybe we should allow the river to run its course and lose NOLA and BR as ports?

Could you imagine if it veered west and Pierre Part became a major hub for world cargo.

Well that will certainly help keep young educated job seekers in the state.

Idiot.

Correct, this is the only option. Once again, man has figured out that he is the master of nothing when it comes to mother nature.

We can fix the erosion problem but nobody wants to do what needs to be done.

That's half the battle.

The other half would be pulling all of the dams and water control structures north of BR from the Tennessee, Missouri, and Mississippi rivers.

I expect downvotes from fishermen. Don't care. Self interested fishermen are the only group that routinely opposes every coastal restoration plan. F them.

Sorry that the people who work daily in this industry have a big say as to what goes on. No, I am not saying they own it because they work on the coast line.

With that said, come take it from our cold hands Yuppee.

We can't keep them in the state in the first place because there is no industry other than O&G here. So no, closing the money vacuums that are our shitty public colleges won't hurt our state.
