because I live a charmed life. In this episode, John Hillerman was playing Higgins and Higgins’ half-brother. I googled the actor because I need a hobby. Regardless, I found out that he was a Texan born and bred. I was shocked. I’m not sure why this really matters but this board asked the question, “if you were a cheese...”, so wth.

I didn't realize that watching Magnum PI was part of the criteria for living a charmed life.

I remember seeing something funny on the Magnum PI wiki page. Let me go look for it.
ETA: Here it is - in the plot description...
"Magnum comes and goes as he pleases, works only when he wants, and has the almost unlimited use of the Ferrari and many other luxuries of the estate. He keeps a mini-refrigerator with a seemingly endless supply of beer ("Old Düsseldorf in a long neck"), wears his father's treasured Rolex GMT Master wristwatch and is surrounded by countless beautiful women, who are often victims of crime, his clients, or are connected in various other ways to the cases he solves..."

Check him out in Blazing Saddles if you want to hear the drawl.

I was about to say he was in Blazing Saddles but I would’ve guessed that was the accent he was faking. It seemed kind of subdued.

that should have been on the food board and this should be on the movie/tv board

My apologies for upsetting the sacrosanct nature of the board.

I upvoted because no one utters those words.

He plays Howard Johnson in Blazing Saddles. Does a good job w/ his British accent in MPI.
Trivia: Daniel Davis (played Niles on "The Nanny") was born in Arkansas. English fans of the show used to write Charles Shaughnessy (played Max Sheffield and an actual Brit) and suggest he work with Davis to get a more convincing British accident.
