You did the right thing. Money today has routing numbers anyway, you wouldn't get away with it.
.....or maybe.
.....or maybe.

you guys all trippin'..... I had somewhere to go and didin't have time to wait around honestly
But you DID wait around till someone got there. so this is such a lie on your part. This thread is the same as "a criminal always returns to the scene of a crime" type mentality. You thought you would make yourself feel better by sharing with TD your potential story for when you get "the call".
SO you are driving down the road, randomly find a cash register, it belongs to a place you are at alot, you drive all the way to that business, drop the register at the door, wait A SAFE DISTANCE AWAY NOT TO BE NOTICED, and drive off when they arrive and didn't leave your name.......
only to come on here now and tell us you had somewhere to go....
My advise is to have an attorney/friend ready to bond your arse out. And, quit drinking

Is this a joke and my sarcasm meter is flawed?

Haven't you been convicted of a felony? My advice to you is to stay away from any cash registers you see on the side of the road from now on.

You realize that I know all of these people in this parking garage and they know me. I waited around because I didn't want to just leave the cash register sitting outside the office for someone else to just come by and take. Also there are a million cameras.
And the criminal wanted to return to the scene to give back the register that he stole that still has everything in it... Okayyyy

Or maybe I was walking out of my apt which is 2 blocks from the parking garage I use and outside of my building I find a register and the credit card receipts in it have the name of my parking garage. I pick it up and walk it to the garage to let the people know since they are usually in the office and the fact I was already walking that direction to get my truck out anyway. No one is there so I call them. When they show up, I get in my truck and leave the garage.
Yolo I guess

I didn't... I didn't even touch it.... You can actually look through the glass windows on the huge big screens and see yourself on camera
