Typically just get booted by the lot.
No excuse for this anyway, since almost all the lots take payment by phone/app now.

That's what I thought. Don't see why they can't just tack on late or overage fees since they already have your credit cardnumber.

They slap that boot on with the quickness and then charge a fee ($200 IIRC) to take it off. Happened to me once and I called the number and the guy was still in the lot. He took it off and didn't charge me. I was all prepared to battle over it but the guy was really cool about it.

They are often really cool about it if you are nice to them. They are used to being yelled at. So if you are respectful to them they might help you out
