I'm not gonna fight you over this. They are not similar situations.

I will with this last point and I agree, they aren't similar. Wanting employees to look professional isn't the same as saying "that outfit is soooooo 2008!" I rest my case.

So men do care what other men wear. Looks like you agree with me.

I'd even wager if some dude showed up in a tank top to church,

You totally missed what the whole thread is about. Wearing a polo style shirt to a place that that kind of shirt is appropriate does not hinge upon having a little horse or alligator on the chest. A plain one would be okay too.

If your job allows polo style shirts, does anybody check for the insignia of the maker? I doubt it.

Wearing a wife beater to church is only appropriate if you were just wounded outside and are going in for help.

I think he gets that. He was pointing out that all of the "it's gay to care what other men wear" comments are not accurate. Most people do care, it's just that lines are drawn at different places.

Polo collars hold up for quite a while. Some of the other brands flatten out pretty quick.

If by admitting to having an account here for a brief minute nearly ten years ago, I am guilty.

To stay on topic, Ralph Lauren is the Mercedes of fashion. Always reliable, and whose prestige will never go away.

see a lot of you are still shopping at Dillard's. Who doesn't realize that this brand went the way of the urban dinosaur in about 2008?

Went back home to BR for the first time in over 10 years and it was like a fashion time machine. Same style as when I was in middle school… 25 years ago

Currently I reside in the center of the state most known for its absurdity. Shouldn't take long to figure out.

And, I heard of TD via a previous message board excursion. I sometimes lurk out of boredom.

Thank you.

It's not like there are numerous threads about, would you wear this LSU hat, shirt, or LSU themed shoes. how grown men shouldn't wear jerseys, or scoff at men wearing skinny jeans.

Why do LSU fans wear LSU gear when it isn't game day?

These threads pop up every week.

The hilarious thing about this is that Ralph Lauren, southern marsh, brooks bros, etc are all the same damn shirt with a different logo.
