Thank god we live in a country in which those who consume are given a COLA over those who produce.

Equity my friends, equity. What a glorious day to be alive.

I don't spend $900/month on groceries because I can't fricking afford to.

What’s stopping you from quitting your job, voluntarily hovering just over the poverty line, and milking the government for all its worth?

If it’s such a sweet life we should all do it

Honest question: How often do they get this money?

Monthly? Weekly?

That’s a buncha mamby pampy nonsense. This is dollar and cents.

Is $250 a month a significant upgrade to your food budget?

Monthly - and most people do not get the full amount because there is a work requirement in Louisiana (unless you’re disabled)

So there’s a secret formula, and a certain percentage is taken off the full allotment.

ETA: there are a few ways to work around it, though
