This would be a nightmare.

"A Maryland couple who recently purchased a home in Annapolis are suing their realtor for $2 million after discovering the house is infested with snakes,"

"The Brooks purchased the home for $410,000 in December 2014, according to court documents. However, as the weather grew warmer, the family discovered the snake infestation."

While I sympathize because that would be awful, why are they suing their realtor for 2 million dollars.

With that settlement, they can get an upgrade on a new house.

At least they don't have a rodent problem. I didn't see where it said what type of snakes either.

ETA: were there really only 3? What a bunch of sissies.

From another article, it was supposedly Black Rat snakes. Said they first found 3, then 13-15 more later.

They spent over $60,000 on pest control?!? I think they were getting ripped off, 'cause if they had rid the house of rats, the snakes would've probably left too.

$2 million sounds quite frivolous. Shouldn't they go after the previous owner for not disclosing this issue?

The agent was the daughter of the seller, according to the article I linked.

I'm no pest control expert, but this seems just a tad absurd. I guess they have to try to sell it for the lawsuit.

The other article claims a little over a dozen. It's still hard for me to sympathize with the histrionics of the home owners.

So....Being fully aware of a problem, the previous owner and realtor market and sell the house without disclosing the issue and the potential costs associated with fixing it. They can't afford that, let someone else be the sucker.

One more point for the people who hate realtors. And people who hate people in general.
