Is this not complete bullshite that smokers can take various breaks throughout the day to smoke.
Yet, others get disapproving looks when they take a coffee break and chit-chat with others for 5 minutes.

I've never understood the griping about smoke breaks. If you want to take a "smoke break" too, why don't you just go outside where the smokers go, and just chill and talk with them while not smoking yourself?
Do y'all have some sort of workplace smoking police who make sure that people who are taking smoke breaks are actually smoking?
