I just watched the Leon Cannizaro video with the "hit and run" and I don't see any damage to the back of the Hummer.

I would agree that the Shooter felt disrespected because Smith didn't stop.

At 1:05 the front of the Hummer is shown to have significant damage. You can see the mounted tire has swung open.

At 1:22 in this video, there is a clear view of the front of the Mercedes and it doesn't look damaged to me. At 1:36, after Smith bumps the Hummer, the back of the Hummer doesn't appear to be damaged and the mounted tire is in place.

If it had been me, I'm not sure that I would have gotten out of my car in an accident with a Hummer with windows tinted so dark you can't see in.

I think I would have called 911 first.

perhaps the tire holder swung open when turning the curve when chasing smith.

what does the hummer have to do with anything? are you assuming that someone that drives a hummer is automatically a killer? It is against the law to leave the scene of an accident. smith could have pulled to the side of the road and called/waited for the cops. He also had a gun with him so he could have stayed in his vehicle with the means to defend himself.

likely once they met, he probably could have said I am will smith former saints defensive end. Ill pay for any damage and throw you a couple of thousand for your incovenience if we keep this on the hush and the situation would have been done.

1. Nothing is.
2. While this is most likely what started the altercation, we don't know what actually prompted the shooting to begin. There's still a huge gap of events between the time of the second collision and the shots being fired. There are people posting stuff on social media now that make it seem like Smith was indeed the aggressor during that timeframe. I'm hesitant to post it though, because its hearsay like a lot of other stuff.

Doesn't that pretty much answer the emptying the clip into Smith question? To me, this would indicate blind rage. That is just my viewpoint.

nobody thinks it is worth being shot over. the issue is what happens down the road and what was the mindset of the men involved going in to the situation.

Not at all. In any self defense class, they teach you that if you are in a situation in which you need to shoot, to completely neutralize the subject. My instructor used the specific words to not stop shooting

Then sit in your Benz and call 911. That's cool. But don't try to speed off, unless you trying to flee the scene for obvious reasons.

This is about the dumbest thing to try and argue back and forth about. Anyone with a brain knows WS hit the guy and tried to flee more than likely because he had been drinking.

I did find it curious that the management at Sake Cafe said that Smith "hardly drank at all" during his time there before the incident.

What's interesting is this;

I guarantee if this was anyone else, the standard TD response for the deceased would be "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes"

Absolutely hit and run doesnt mean you should get murdered.

But if this story was two random black people in NOLA, and it started with a hit and run by the deceased, it would be 10 pages of the stupid prizes quote and others saying "dont even waste or taxes investigating, they took a criminal off the street"

It is sad it takes a celebrity to make us care

ETA: And I am not calling people out. I would likely have done it too

Can't believe people are arguing about weather Smith hit Hays are not and why the dude stopped... Who cares...He shot Smith eight times, seven were in his back, and 2 hit his wife.... Still not an excuse for killing the man...

Hayes will get 2nd degree or manslughter, and attempt on the wife....

I'll bring it up again: I would love to read the comments if Smith was the shooter and Hayes was the victim.

Then you're getting setup to go to jail. You can only use a reasonable act in self defense. Emptying a clip usually doesn't qualify unless it's like a raptor attack

Of course... They don't want to be liable for anything.

I can tell you dont know guns. Stop using the term clip for one. In a defensive situation, it would take someone a mere 2-3 seconds to fire off every round in their gun. They arent going to look up and wait after each shot

After reading the article about her getting shot first I'm inclined to agree. Hayes just opened fire with no provocation. It's like he just snapped and turned into some rabid animal.
