That's right. He's a stupid dipshit. He started a fight and murdered a man. Let that sink in. He started a fight and murdered a man over something fricking stupid

i think it gives Hayes a clear reason to be upset. I bet his night was normal and he was perfectly calm before that. I think its pretty fair to say most people would be upset if that happened to them.

It gives him reason to follow while his passenger writes down lisence plate number and nothing else.

That video doesn't help Smiths side at all.

Driving drunk (probably), rear ending someone, and driving off.....jeez

The only thing relevant to the self defense claim wil be the 20-30 seconds before the shooting occurred

So brake checking is a slow stop that gives the person following plenty of time to stop?

That is what a brake check is?

Doesn't look that way to mean and it makes no sense. Smith didn't stop anywhere near Hayes' vehicle at the intersection before.

As far as I'm concerned, that video does nothing to help Hayes' self defense claim. If anything, that video hurts Hayes more than helps him.

Guess we'll see. If the tox reports show Smith was drunk, we know he broke 2 laws that night. I dont see exactly how that helps him, but ok.

That wasn't a brake check, but it surely wasn't a slow stop either.

maybe maybe not. perhaps smith was following too close. he definitely looked less than 2 car lengths behind the hummer. what if someone stepped out or a car pulled out. who knows.

I honestly am watching and it looks like a completely normal stop. The placement seems odd, but the speed of the stop is nothing abnormal at all. Smith had ample time to stop as well

Chad has long made up his mind. I don't know why y'all are even discussing it with him.

this is the intersection. I know you are from out of town. The street they were traveling ended. You have to go left or right there. It is a long intersection to "run" if you are trying to beat the red light. Cars routinely stop short realizing they cant make it because those cars start to come head on.

Ahh shite Lester I didn't realize where it was. I'm that case, it was a completely normal stop and not even in an odd placement

Of course.

Upset sure. But enough to chase them down and ram the back of their car? Most people wouldn't do that. If the end game was to just get the info to resolve an accident, then why smash his car when they do finally stop.

No matter if Hayes was self defense or not, he was ready to tango the moment he hit Will's car. That's pretty apparent imo.

It looks more normal than a break check for sure. I'm just confused why he stopped 5+ car lengths before the light. You don't see any people crossing the street in both camera angles.
