Looking at the Buick Enclave and the Infiniti QX60. Anyone have any experiences with these vehicles or any others in this class?

Yeah. Will be 3 car seats total. One booster seat, a regular front facing car seat, and an infant facing rear seat (with the eventual transition to a front facing seat)

Wife had a Honda Pilot with third row. When the back seats were up, there wasn't much room behind them to put much more than a couple of bags of groceries.

A buddy of mine got the ford explorer last year and just had his second kid (3yr and newborn), he is dying for something bigger. He is about 5'10" and he doesn't have headroom in there

My wife drives a ford edge, but we're having our second child in a couple of months, and we going to get the new expedition when it comes out. I'm 6'1" and hate not having room in the mid size suvs

The car seats take up so much space in the mid-sized suvs though

The Enclave is a very good choice. I'm impressed with how comfortable and quiet they are. I think they redesigned them last year, and they have all the newer technology.

I wouldn't call them "smaller" either. They are legitimately large crossover SUVs. I don't think you'd have a problem with three car seats at all.

We have one. Great mommy-mobile as long as you don't mind CVT.

Acura MDX > those

My wife thought she loved the QX60 (coming from a '11 MDX). After testing both, the MDX blew it away. I think it's an absolutely terrific car. Got 28 mpg from Hammond to BR on the way home today. Could easily clip 30 on longer highway stretches. Our old MDX could barely squeak out 20 mpg.

I'd lean to the Highlander over the Enclave as well, but they are proud of the highlanders.

From a usable 3rd row perspective the Enclave and Acadia are far superior than the Infiniti.

Jesus. Prayers sent if you're trying to get all of this into a small SUV. Just think of two years from now when they're all toting sports and dance equipment, bags for a vacation, etc. I've got one child (18 month old) and the Tahoe is as small as we can go. Once the next one gets here, Suburban is the only route I'm taking.

What? Like a variable belt drive? No actual gear changes?

Get the Toyota Highlander Limited Hybrid. It has captains chairs in the 2nd row with easy access to the back.

Gf has a highlander. Absolutely perfect for 4 kids and 28mpg. With a hitch storage or roof rack it's all good for vacations too.
