When I dipped that was the only answer. Seriously, if I knew the world was going to end in a few years, I’d buy some rolls. There really was nothing more relaxing than dipping. Nasty habit, but super relaxing.

I started when I was 14. Quit when I was 39. Skoal, Kodiak and Redman. At least a tin a day. Redman when I fished. For years I said when I retired I might start back. Well I’m retired now, but I’m worried about cancer (my dad had bladder cancer likely caused by tobacco). Nothing beat a dip after a meal. Or, a dip and a beer while playing cards. Damn straight it was relaxing.

What’s with all the people quitting? Serious question.

Just put one in when you’re fishing, playing golf or drinking more than a handful of beers. Other than that, just don’t do it.

Social dipping is like social smoking. Just find the right situation and stick to it.

Easy enough. People need to make it a habit on occasion and not an addiction.

Only time I dipped was in high school. Got me so dizzy I couldn’t drive for a few minutes.

Ok.

It’s called moderation. Give that a try one day.

Y’all should look into Swedish Snus - seems like one of the “safest” ways to use tobacco. Certainly the cleanest.

Once Cope doesn't do it for you any more, get you a can of Garrett Snuff. You'll thank me later.

Like 99.99% of America can do that shite. Especially with a vice so powerful as nicotine.

I love a dip though. My brand was Skoal Long Cut Wintergreen. However, I guess I was that .01% that could do it in moderation because I only dipped for the most part when I golfed, hunted, or fished. I would go days without a dip but if I ate a big meal or killed a few White Cans, I wanted a dip bad. I mean if I didn't have a can, I would freak out. I guess I finally decided about 2 years ago that maybe I should just quit cold turkey, so I did. I guess I also have this fear of getting cancer and after seeing the devastating effects of that fricking awful disease on a family of a good old baw from my hometown that used to post on the OB by the name of EJW, it made it that much easier.

Grizzly fine cut. Nothing better than getting an early morning dip and heading out in the woods during season.

I dipped from age 15-36. I haven’t dipped in 12 years. I don’t miss it one bit. Such a disgusting habit.

Except putting one in right before LST in a duck blind on a cold morning.
