Bacchus rolls at 5:30!

Getting ready to head Uptown for the AM parades and some all-day/night drinking.

Gonna be on St.Charles Ave by Louisiana Ave for all the insanity.

Who else is doing Bacchus instead of watching the SB today?

Wise choice. Over the course of several months, you can watch dozens of football games between generic teams. The super bowl is just another one.

Haven't been much on Mardi Gras parades for many years, so it's the Super Bowl for me.

Besides, even if I wanted to go I can't due to a recent ankle fusion surgery that has me in a boot and on crutches and getting around is a total PITA right now. No way in hell I could be up on my feet walking to and from a car after parking.

For those who are going, hope the weather holds out and you all have a blast.

They moved it up to 4:45.

Of course, since you're out there already, you shouldn't miss it.

Wish I was able to do this.

This is prob gonna be the worst SB. So rigged and predictable. Chiefs are gonna win and the cameras will be on taylor and Kelse non stop, from pre game to the Lombarid trophy. May just watch a movie.

I definitely feel like this will be the least-watched Super Bowl ever, with all the fan apathy.

Too much other good stuff going on now

Wasn't it less than a minute total for the last game?

That's probably half correct for Louisiana. The other half does not care who wins, but also isn't interested in Mardi Gras.

On St. Charles/Louisiana intersection by the old CVS, find college kids blaring Lynyrd Skynyrd. Been out here since the end of Endymion
