#1 Why would younger millennials like a show that went off the air 21 years ago, which was often based around misunderstandings or happenstances that have never happened to them because of cell phones? Seinfeld was funny at the time because it was so relatable. They literally can’t relate to most of the plot lines.
#2 A couple of goobers on YouTube saying something is offensive doesn’t mean that’s shared by anyone other than said goobers.

MTV did this with the "dear white people" video and they got blasted for it too.

If our PC culture has gone so far off the rails then why does he still sell out theatres all over the country decades after this show went off the air?

Larry David is and many cast members are as liberal as they come. New leftists are so unbearable.

I said "PC culture", not "American culture". Reading is key.

All it takes on TD is for one jackass to say something ridiculous and suddenly that jackass is representative of everybody to the left of Rush Limbaugh

quote:im a millennial and i love the show. it transcends generations mainly because a lot of the social mannerisms that existed back then continue to do so. its not a show about 90s things, its a show about how people act and live in western civilization and that really hasnt changed much over centuries. it absolutely, 100% holds up and will continue to do so until something drastically changes and alters the social norms of our society

Solid counter point.

You said “our PC culture”, referencing again what’s been said on here ad nauseum that far left cultural ideal are “taking over America” despite no evidence of this actually happening whatsoever.

The original title said millennials not SJW. I would pay attention to context clues before attempting a gotcha.

Sure, all I’m saying is that I can understand how someone who is 25 could watch the Chinese Resturaunt episode and not think it that’s great because they can’t at all relate to what was happening to the characters.

True, but like they point out in the video, it's fascinating to watch how they process the scenes. They're actively finding things to find offensive and once they find it, they can't unsee it.
This was basically the equivalent of showing softcore porn to a bunch of Mormon kids

I disagree with this point. Multiple times you've seen political correctness successfully used as a weapon against those who disagree. It has, in fact, taken over multiple corporations.

The Fine Bros are a bunch of greedy assholes who tried to patent the concept of a review and make every internet content creator pay them. They are just the worst, and I will not click on that link since I’m guessing it’s the video H3H3 went on a rant about the other day.

the people who cant relate to that episode are people who have never had to wait an agonizingly long time for a table at a restaurant while they are starving/have something else to do. im 25 and can 100% relate to that so i find it funny. do i get every single reference being made? maybe not. but 100% see the core humor. thats what makes the show great

Bro, we're forcing people to apologize for things they said when they were 15 not 10 minutes after they won the Heisman Trophy. I'm not saying it's a "takeover", but it's certainly getting worse. I mean, look at the video. These kids are getting physically uncomfortable of completely innocuous jokes.

I tried to watch the video but I can’t. I love h3h3 but I can’t even watch because those people are so god damn stupid.

Outrage culture is a problem but it’s both partisan and non partisan and the right is just as guilty. When you try to make like its only a problem with the left you come off like you’re just pushing your agenda

You're only 25? Christ I'm old.

There were mobs banging on the doors of the Supreme Court because some broad accused a nominee of feeling her up almost 40 years ago at high school party. We were told we not only had to believe this woman without question, but also any woman who makes any accusation of sexual impropriety without question.
