I recently ordered a Suunto Core out of curiosity. I haven’t gotten it yet but will likely use the compass and barometer features. The alto will go unused as there is a maybe a 3’ change in elevation where I hunt. IDK it might be a cheap piece of shite but wth.
Otherwise I wear an automatic Seiko that never leaves my wrist.

The answer is Apple Watch and it isn't even close.
Thank me later.

Honestly, they are quite different and it depends on the use case.
The Apple is a great smartwatch and a good fitness watch the fenix is a basic smartwatch and an excellent fitness watch, especially outdoor fitness. The Garmin tracks many more activities without adding Apple or third-party apps. The Garmin is built more rugged, has hard buttons, works better in bright sunlight, has FAR more battery life and tracks more sports-related health metrics.
For some people, the Apple is a better choice but the top-level fenix has it beat in many outdoor sports-related ways. It is not as remotely simple as you suggest.

Watches are usually a nuisance and a status symbol of those with small dicks. We all have cell phones.
But I agree, those with actual utility are of value, but don't carry a high price tag, imagine that.
I guess everyone who likes something that cost money has a small dick on this board.
Watches=small dick
F-250=small dick
Sports car=small dick
Athletic built chicks=small dick

I’ve been having the Garmin Fenix 5 for a while now and it’s perfect for what you are looking for.
