I don't think that's what he's saying. He's saying rather than using community centers and libraries, just use the schools for day care centers.

Hell, you could even have the teachers that aren't teaching be the care givers that watch the children.

A key point of the plan is specifically getting 1/2 students out of the school buildings that do not have enough space to distance them and also will allow many at-risk and older teachers to simply do online teaching from home.

I think the plan is there will not be many teachers that are not teaching just that some are not physically at the schools.

That’s not going to happen unless they’re getting paid extra. No teacher is going to babysit for free. Teachers have enough to do with lesson plans, grading assignments, and their own students.

It will use community centers and organizations, libraries and other space to set up care

So we can group children in all of these places but NOT a school???

Would love to have someone attempt to explain the logic of this one.

So they can cram them all into community centers, but not schools?

1.4 million overall students

700k go to school

100K go to daycare

600K stay at home and don't go anywhere every single day

So lets call your scenario Scenario A.

How is this better than Scenario B?

800k go to school

600k stay at home.

Explain the necessity of funding and organizing this 100k+ daycare in Scenario A v Scenario B.
