Same thing happens with country and ghetto dialects. They didn’t learn that shite in school. They do what their culture does.

Lest we forget, many people can't get plurals and possessives correct either.

Pro tip for third graders and above: In English, an apostrophe is never used to indicate a plural. Apostrophes are used with possessives or contractions.

There are plenty in my neck of the woods who exaggerate it. They actually take pride in sounding completely ignorant. Gotta let everyone know how country they are.

Expecially

I was raised to say sir and ma’am to my elders and people deserving of respect, and I still do to this day. I just want to see if anyone else used a bastardized version of no ma’am that I can only attempt to spell as “no’m”. Pronounced nome, like the city in Alaska. I still use it occasionally when speaking to my mother.
