Was having this argument with friends at the parade last night.
I am personally a neutral ground side guy. You get the neutral ground area, and then the other side of St. Charles for all of your festival activities.

I was surprised when I was in the minority among my friends in this conversation. They said theres more people on the sidewalk side and you can walk down the side streets if you wanted to get away. Pretty flawed argument.

What says the fine members of the OT?

Whichever side people are going to be that saves a spot for me.

Generally neutral ground side though.

Some baws are doing to come in here throwing a fit because you started a thread like this.

Neutral ground if you're setting up chairs, tents, etc.
The sidewalk side is too crowded for that.

Depends on which parade and where I'm catching it.

Uptown parades I generally like sidewalk side.

Endymion I usually like neutral ground

i get that in the sense of getting towards the front of the pack, but i feel like overall neutral ground side is more spacious

Sidewalk, but it's just me, my wife, and my son. If I had a bigger group it would be neutral ground all day.

Exactly. Less tarps and ladders. Easier to just stand in street

there is a whole lot less chance of being run over by drunk driver on the neutral ground. plus neutral ground usually has less people due to it being smaller area

The neutral ground side is clearly the trashier.

I'm on the sidewalk side.
