This happened to me this morning except it was an entire work out class of about 50 people. I plowed right through the middle of them. They were oblivious, never considering the idea that others were using the path in the opposite direction. A number were quite surprised to look up and see me about to run them over. They did shout me a good morning on my way back, so I forgive them.

Just yell out real loud, 'ON YOUR LEFT!!!!!!' as you approach them even if they aren't in your way.
I ALWAYS speed up and move left, you can pass me but you have to want it.

Did you post pics of these women? 'Cuz I didn't notice them.
Personally, I wouldn't run into them, but I would run right up to them and then just stop in my "lane". Make it obvious that they should move. If you just run into them, the idiots could possibly assume you just weren't paying attention. This way they know you saw them and knew they were in the wrong place.

If they're walking towards you, run straight at the one farthest to the right. See who chickens out first. If they're walking the same direction as you call out on your left

Stop and "re-tie your shoe...then they have the choice to run into you or go single file.
Then PIITBs
Then PIITBs

How does his pace change anything? He would still be in the same predicament if he was walking on the sidewalk. These hens would just keep chatting and ignore the fact that they aren't the only people on the sidewalk.
Another thing that bugs the shite out of me are the people that block the sidewalk with their vehicles. That affects everyone, but it especially bothers me now that I have a baby that I walk in a stroller. I know it's not likely that we will be hit by a car in the street, but it's a hell of a lot more likely if we have to walk in the street to avoid a car blocking the sidewalk.

quote:Agree that this works. When my wife and I are walking together and encounter another couple or single walker we always get in single file and expect the same. If I am by myself and encounter a couple that don't get in single file, I stop, smile and say good morning or hello.
Just stop dead in your tracks and assume the right hand side of the sidewalk like you're entitled to.

Do you remember when Fournette trucked that aTm safety? It was a vicious hit. Don't do that because whoever is sticking his dick in her is going to stomp your candy arse into a mud hole, then jog it dry.

It pisses me off big time when walkers walk 3 or 4 abreast in the bike lane. They get the elbow when I zip by and yell "MOVE!!!!"

2 guys scared the shite out of me running this morning. I was looking at my phone trying to change the song, while running uphill the bridge. I didn't notice them coming up behind me and they scared me so much the guy felt the need to give me a little hug as he passed me.

Square off the smaller of the two. As you approach, stare in her eyes crazily while slapping your forearm, like you intend to deliver a shiver. She will step off the sidewalk.
