I would imagine he was coached by his attorney to come off in this manor.

Trained clinical psychologists/psychiatrists are quite good at spotting malingering, as it’s something they actively test for. Regardless, even if you pull it off, it just means they keep you at Jackson Forensic indefinitely. Then, once you are restored, they ship you right back to be tried.

So a mentally retarded person should be locked away from society?

Come on man, no reason to put the full retards in lock up.

Yes. Unless supervised by a competent person who assumes all responsibility for the person's actions.

We can't have a bunch of crazies running around committing crimes, only to say opps I'm too incompetent to stand justice.

Nope, which is why I invited you to have exactly that. I simply wanted confirmation that’s what was wanted, so I could self select to avoid it.

Yikes.

I wouldn't call all people with mental handicaps to be "crazy".

There are adults with down syndrome that live alone and have jobs bagging groceries and stuff. They would definitely not be competent to stand trial, but they shouldn't be "locked up".

Our justice system is too scared to punish black people because of the old PR narrative that Louisiana is racist will be casted. They’re so scared to throw the book at a young black man. The fact it’s sterlings son makes the matter ten times worse. He won’t get any time.

Louisiana seriously needs to just swap legal systems and leaders with a neighboring state like Mississippi or Arkansas and see how much productive stuff gets done. They aren’t scared and have no tolerance for BS

I see "young black men" get warehoused on a near-daily basis. The idea that they are somehow getting the better end of the deal in Louisiana's criminal justice system is absurd. For every one black kid in this state that gets media sympathy, there are a thousand who eat decades of time in front of an empty seating gallery.

And exactly how much experience do you have with the Louisiana criminal justice system?

I don’t have to have experience to formulate an opinion on how garbage the system is. There’s a reason Louisiana’s Legal system is a joke nationally.

So you have zero idea what you're talking about. But, I have no doubt that you feel very strongly about your baseless beliefs. Delightful.

He should be deemed not competent for breathing. His dad’s incompetency came to fruition.

My beliefs are baseless. Just like many many other people’s beliefs about the same topic. Gotcha.

Well do you spend any time in the criminal justice system?

I don’t spend any time on the outdoor board or offer opinions on hunting because I don’t hunt. Go ahead and tell us what you base your opinion of the Louisiana justice system on.

I base it on classes I’ve taken on the system in college, keeping up with the news regularly, and talking to people who have lived in LA their whole lives. It’s a fricking joke. The rest of the country and most of Louisiana knows it too. So defensive it’s hilarious.

And based on all of that, it’s your opinion the criminal justice system actually gives black men a break in order to avoid charges of racism?
