Yeah.... that's all these "I have my rights" videos are good for. Everybody's an expert all of a sudden and tries to write there own Get Out of Jail free card.

Is it really ok to speed in Tejas and not have consequences? Really?

Why? So the supervisor could bust out the window instead of the officer initiating the traffic stop? I seriously doubt there will be a "shite storm of a legal matter" over this given the video evidence.

I was in Addison at Beltline and the TW, turning left E on BL. Snapped me by El Fenix. Guy was truly nice and normal. Speeding was a warning but i had an expired IS by about a month. The video is awesome to me. Wish I knew the name of the douche driver.

Maybe I don't but the cop did his job and the guy broke the law. This guy will not win a lawsuit for being a jackass.

he knew it was on video. This is the main positive about video on the cop. It provides both sides with an incentive to behave appropriately, knowing they are being recorded.

I was about to fall asleep listening to these two asshats say the same thing over and over to each other. Then el baton comes out and it got real. I was really hoping the cop would have bashed that turd's skull in and saves our gene pool from contamination.

I understand not just letting them search a car or a home. Though, if you are pulled over by a traffic cop, making everything quick as possible is the ONLY way for it to go well. If the officer is wrong, you challenge in court. You will not win an argument on the street. Just give your license and registration, never admit to anything and be courteous.

Great advice. I have "friends" of mine that ask for help on tickets and then I talk to the officer and they tell me my friend was a douchebag. Just be nice, even when the officer isn't. You can always win in court or file a complaint. In a Good well respected department officers have to live up to certain standards.

The officer had a lot more patience that I would have had.

Are you saying that the posted speed limits in Texas only apply to commercial vehicles? Because that's what you are saying is correct.

At some point, you've got to feel bad for cops. People, in general, are clueless and I'd probably snap if I had to deal with shite like this on a daily basis.

Wrong. He placed him under arrest and he would not apply. The supervisor would have done the same thing and then asked the officer why did you call me for this? Put him in jail.

There isn't a jury in these United States that wouldn't side with this guy for exercising his rights, even if he was ultimately wrong. He wasn't acting violently in any way. He didn't provoke the cop to violence by reaching for anything. And then his window got busted after the cop got pissed.

How do you think an argument that was polite for five minutes until it was escalated by an angry cop would play in most jury pools? Seriously. And by the way, that's all that video was until the window got smashed: five minutes.

No he didn't. He detained him. As was explicitly asked by the driver and explicitly said by the cop.

Before he broke the window, he was told he was being placed under arrest for failure to identify.

That was the reason for the window breaking, what are you talking about?

Yes, he was initially detained and not under arrest, but that all changed.

The reason for the delay was the primary officer wanted back-up there in case the arrest got messy.

Lawyers are toolbags

and we have College after college graduating more and more into the country. So the scum around the toilet continues to build and build.

Eventually we'll have to flush these turds down the bowl.

bullshite. I've dealt with many juries and I have no doubt that they would all be pissed off and instantly hate this dude for (1) being a complete douche and (2) dragging everyone in to the court room and wasting everyone's time/money so that he can prove a point that is not even valid in the first place.

That was so terrible it's almost like it's a propaganda video by the cops to show how patient they are.
