Well, going by my personal experience as a deputy in St.Martin parish, I entered the POST academy with the rank of deputy. Upon successful completion of that academy, I exited with the rank of DFC(Deputy First Class). I encountered several Troopers in the booking room at SMPCC when they brought 10-15s for DUI, PWITD, and other offenses. Several of those were TFCs. If their ranking system is different, I will gladly retract my post.
