I’m not worked up over the lawsuit. I understand it absolutely will get thrown out. I’m “worked up” over the goons on this board that bitch and moan about the govt forcing things on employers, then cheering the govt forcing things on employers

The smoking law had the same effect here

If these people signed a legal, binding contract, that did not include termination based on a government mandate, then I side with the individual over the corporation.

And if they were all at will employees?

And they’ll have several losses and more people will quit due to being overworked

Well then Ochsner will have a choice to make. Keep their policy and go under, or change it and let unvaxxed work. It should(and ultimately)will be up to them how to handle the vaxxed and unvaxxed employees

Not dumbass Biden's and not any local courts

So as a small govt conservative you aren’t for an employers right to choose who they employ? You consider that a win for America?

Could the matter be a violation of their constitutional rights? If it could be, then no they shouldn’t be fired while the court is deciding.

Can Ochsner fire people just because they are black? You would obviously say no. So then you would admit that there are certain circumstances that can be ruled discrimination.

You have as much constitutional right of being unvaxxed as you do of wearing a dildo on your head to work

Both can be a fireable offense that the constitution won’t save you

Also, let’s not pretend that it’s a truly free and fair marketplace. Ochsner gets many advantages over private practices like not for profit status, government subsidies, and federal aid.

So don’t pull the “free market” card on us.

That’s your opinion, doesn’t make it true.

The constitution says you can’t discriminate based on religious beliefs. What if it’s against your religious beliefs to be vaccinated?

Then you can take place in the testing protocols Ochsner allows, or get fired

Are they allowing that still?

Is there another option that doesn’t involve vaccination? If so, why would someone be fired?

I just told you. You can get vaxxed, or be submitted to the testing protocols if you have an exemption

Because they are refusing the vaccine or the testing protocols

That's a little misleading title......the article clearly says...

It's a standard trick on this site to misrepresent an article. In some cases, it's the linked article's headline that misrepresents it, but in this case OP omitted important context from the headline. What invariably will happen is many people will not read the linked article, assume the case has been decided, then in a few weeks or months when the case is heard and the courts rule Oschner can fire employees that don't get vaccinated, they'll cry activist, corrupt judges and courts.

So as a big government liberal, you’re ok with the government limiting free choice for your body? You’d be ok with conservatives outlawing abortion if it’s ok for liberals to force vaccinations
