As bad as Baton Rouge is, Shreveport is a legit shite hole. I think they made the roads Shitty up on 20 so people would have to pull over for repairs.

Hey look, out of state people are bashing the state of Louisiana on a Louisiana message board again.

The mayor is only 16, so cut him a little slack. He was probably nervous speaking in public.

Leaving the stadium we made a tour through the hood trying to get back to the interstate. It was obviously a poor area, but well kept, and a lot of houses had Christmas lights out. It didn't feel unsafe at all.

Pretty sure that guy can read with his credentials.

They are the home BBQ, Creole, and soul food. Love it whenever North Louisiana tries to claim the food culture that South Louisiana has
It's all Louisiana. The food is prevalent throughout the state...don't be so fricking obtuse.

We're all from the same state.

Look, I love Louisiana, the food, LSU, etc...but the state, as a whole, does sucketh much. Was born and raised in Shreveport and now live in Bossier. Shreveport has been on the decline for at least 20 years. Losing the GM plant and other businesses has hurt tremendously. Crime is up. The city looks like Detroit. Needs a major face lift from the awful streets to the education system. And that bowl game yesterday was like a "fancy Evangel" game. Rarely used the replay to show ANY of the reviews. Instead, they focused on watching the refs look at the camera...the sound sucked, had ONE bathroom on the upper level. ONE! So the line to piss was unnecessarily long. The concessions were not good, had food/beer stands blocking the upper ramps, crowd was lulled to sleep by a Miami team that could obviously care less to be there. And the traffic routes to get out of there and on to I-20 was horribly planned out. It sucks because I go every single year and the city seems to not get the fact that so many people will either be watching or going and every year they consistently shite the bed. Walk-ons isn't sponsoring next year. Who the !$&* wants to invest in a bowl game that the city can't seem to get behind???

Shreveport died in the early 90s. Thug culture and inability to attract more industry killed it. It used to be a player in the energy sector but all those jobs have gone to Houston.

I gotta say Morris Bart owns Shreveport-Bossier. Gordon better step up his game.

Guess I was being a bit too nostalgic about it in my previous post. I was raised there and left in '84.
