That for 5 surgeries..... yours plus 4 other un-insured patients....they thank you for your help paying


guess its better then being put on a multi-year waiting list or being denied all together for "non-essential" surgery from socialized medicine

The claim amount submitted to your insurance is like whose line is it anyway - it’s made up and the dollars don’t matter. It’s what the negotiated reimbursement rate is that is the real “cost.”


Now if you want to have a discussion on why the whole song and dance is even necessary that’s a different matter. The fact that it’s done this way is so dumb but that’s the system we have right now.

It's completely rediculous. It's like "oh this pill is $1500 for a month, but we offer a coupon or goodrx for $5/month. Well, how about just charge $5 a month to start?
